Haiku’s guy Niels Sascha Reedijk posted yesterday a status update on the achievements realized in the process of reaching the alpha 1 state. He explains he think this is a good thing to have from time to time updates on this topics for two reasons. The first, to show off the enormous amount of work done in Haiku, the second, to put everyone behind a common goal.
Three topics discussed:
- achievements realized for being able to distribute alpha 1 as a LiveCD;
- the self-hosting problem and what has been done in the goal to be able to develop and compile haiku from within haiku;
-
the follow-up of the tickets to be resolved to get to the alpha 1 milestone.
